With Brooklyn, I craved anything with sugar. I literally would go through a big package of red vines in about two nights. I would eat until I was sick.
With Nathan and this baby, I can't really tell what I crave. The thought of grease makes me ill. Sugar doesn't really taste good to me. But for some reason, I have been wanting a shake. I asked Robert to go and get me one the other night, and he was willing too. But he said, "You know you won't eat it." Which was true. I really don't like ice cream to begin with, and the thought of all that sugar made me thirsty.
But I really was craving something. I told him I wanted something cold, but soda was too sweet. Robert mentioned something that he had that day, and it reminded me of an Orange Julius. Once I thought of it, I HAD to have one. He went to the store and bought all of the stuff to make one. It was SO SO good. He had just a little cup and gave the rest to me in a big cup. I laughed because I thought, "I'll never drink all that." But I did. The next night we made some more and I didn't hog nearly as much as I did the first night. But now, they are all I can think about. Yum Yum!!
Now that I have made all of you crave this yummy concoction, here is the recipe.
Orange Julius
6 OZ of frozen Orange Juice concentrate
1 cup of Milk (We used half and half)
3/4 cup of water
1/4 cup of powdered sugar
1/4 cup of regular sugar
10-12 ice cubes
Put all of the ingredients in the blender minus the ice cubes. Mix it. Then add the ice cubes a few at a time. Serve immediately!! It's SO GOOD.

Cravings are weird. Also, things that make you sick when you are pregnant never make it back into your diet even after you aren't pregnant anymore. To this day I can't eat mustard or sour cream very often.
I am craving french fries and shakes!
