Robert and Baby

So tonight Robert and I watched the movie, "Juno" together. I had heard from several people what a cute movie it was. I did think it was very touching, but I wondered how much of it I found touching because "my eggo is preggo".

There is a line in the movie where Jennifer Garner's character says something like, "Women are moms from the time they get pregnant. Men don't feel like fathers until they see the baby."

I have ALWAYS thought this! But right after the movie... my sweet husband reminded me again of this. Here is how our conversation went:

Robert- It seems weird to think that your going to have a baby and you're pregnant right now.
Me- I bet you never think about it.
Robert- Yeah I don't.
*A few minutes later*
Me- Ow. It feels weird like the baby is kicking my cervix.
Robert- You can't feel the baby kicking your cervix.
Me- (Huh?) Well, something is making my cervix hurt, and it feels like something keeps hitting it. (Like a baby kicking!)
Robert- Does it even have feet yet?
Stacy- (Shakes her head very disappointed.)

Yes. My baby does have feet.

As his punishment, I'm going to read to him from this website. He'll be sorry he doubted our baby's feet.

Yes, it really is too bad that men can't experience this first hand so they have a better understanding. Robert owes you jewlery or something for that comment.

I have never really realized this, so thanks for the insight!! It will most definitely help in later pregnancies! And Wow! Sweet new layout!

I also like how no men even dare to leave a comment. Except me but I have never had a pregnant wife so I don't have the fear yet.
