So poor little Brooklyn gets SO hungry everyday at 5:30. Without fail. About this time everyone is hungry actually. Robert doesn't get home until about 6:20 though, so we don't usually eat until he is home.
Today, while I was making dinner, Brooklyn asked why we couldn't just eat. I told her that we were waiting for Dad to get home. She said, "Oh yeah." Then after a minute of silence she cheerfully said, "If we didn't have a dad, we wouldn't have to wait." I said, "I guess you're right." Of course the minute Robert got home, I had to tell him. He had a good laugh.
Then tonight as we were tucking the kids in bed, I was kissing Brooklyn's cute cheeks and hugging her tight. She has been sleeping in her bed, with her castle tent over her bed. She said, "If I had a bigger bed, you could sleep in here with me." I said, "Instead of sleeping with Daddy?" She said, "YEAH!" Robert was standing right there and he said (laughing really hard), "should I just sleep in your bed and you and Mommy can have the big bed?" Brooklyn looked at me like 'he agreed to it!!!' and said, "YEAH!" I told her that her Daddy was teasing and she looked really crushed.
Well, needless to say, she loves me a lot!!!

this post is funny for 2 reasons. 1-it's just funny and 2-the thought of Robert trying to fit in Brooklyn's toddler bed.
Poor little Brooklyn! I'm for giving her snack at 5:00 to take the edge off. Have her drink a cup of water and eat a few carrot sticks. And I too can picture Robert trying to fit on her bed. I vote for her getting a real twin bed soon, then you can lay down by her. That's why I never liked those toddler beds, you couldn't lay down and read to your kids.
