Cruisin'

So for those of you who don't know... Robert and I went on a Mexican Rivera cruise. Thanks to my mom and dad, my friend Marian, my sis in law Emmalee, and Rob's mom and dad, we were able to go without kids. We went with a couple named Kelly and Rochelle Crane. Kelly and Robert work together. It was fun to have people to go with. Here is the schedule of our cruise.

We boarded the boat on Saturday. It left port at 4:00 p.m. Here is a picture of our room. (our love cave). Yes it is an inside cabin. Next time... balcony for sure. Here is also a picture of the ship leaving. And the sunset.... ahhhh.

Sunday was a day at sea. We just tried to rest. We ate, lounged, ate, rested, ate, and at night we watched a fun show at night.

Monday was also a day at sea. Much of the same... eating, lounging, resting, eating, listening to music in a piano bar. At night we went to a comedy show. We sat on the front row. The comedian loved Robert because he laughed (giggled) at all of the guy's jokes that (in my opinion), weren't that funny. Especially when he made fun of what mom's do when we are on the phone. It wasn't funny because it's what I do. Anyway... he gave Robert permission to burn 50 copies of it and give it to his friends... ask him for one.

Tuesday, we went to Puerta Vallarta. We snorkeled at some arches in the water. It was so cool!! The fish were beautiful. I LOVED it. When we got done though, we were attacked on the beach by vendors. It was seriously like flies buzzing around!! They wouldn't leave us alone. I did buy a necklace.. so one of them prevailed! Some of the others said, "You bought from her, now you need to buy from me." ha ha ha. Guess what else we did... went to WalMart. I took a picture of Sam's club and forgot to take one of WalMart. It was interesting.

Wednesday we went to Mazatlan. It was a nice place. We pretty much went to a hotel resort, listened to a time share for an hour, and then sat on their beach and watched people parasail. Robert and Kelly, wanted to do it, but the Mexicans said that they were both too buff and manly, and there wasn't enough wind to keep them in the air. So we opted not to do it. That night.. I had lots of King Crab for dinner! The picture of Rob and I together in a car is what I believed would be the last picture of us ever taken. I thought our kids should have something to remember us by, when we died in a taxi car accident. That driver was crazy. Oh wait... ALL the taxi drivers were crazy. We almost died everyday in Mexico, being driven around by crazy cab drivers. We also took our picture with Senior Frog.

Thursday we went to Cabo San Lucas. We didn't have much time in port. We had to tender to the dock on some little boats. About the only thing we really wanted to do was parasail. And we did!!! It was SO SO SO much fun. I would do it again in a heartbeat! That night... I had lobster and shrimp for dinner!

Friday was a day at sea... much relaxing went on... it was a nice day. I had Prime Rib for dinner.

Saturday.. we walked off the ship with luggage in hand.. and drove home to Utah. I was so happy to see my kids. I missed them. Everyone who watched them said that they were really good. (Hopefully it was the truth!) I haven't had to pay for leaving them like I thought I would.

It was such a fun vacation and it was nice to reconnect with my husband. It's nice to remember that we have more in common than just kids, and a mortgage, and that we share a living space. He truly is my best friend. Okay okay... sorry to go all corny on you..

We loved our trip together. We hope in another 3 years.. we can go again. (Hint Hint family. Prepare yourselves now to babysit.)
