Primary President

So today I was sustained as the new Primary President. I am totally freaking out. It's scarier than I thought it would be. After sacrament... people kept coming up to me saying, "Congratulations." I didn't know what to say. It wasn't like I campaigned and won. So I mostly just said, "Thanks."

Today I had my first Bishop's Council meeting. I felt really weird finding out information about families in the ward. I kind of liked thinking that everyone has perfect lives and perfect home lives. It's sad to hear the sad stuff. I can see how it's important though, because if a family is having problems, it's good to know that the kids could act out because of it. Or they could be extra sad, etc.

There is just so much that I don't know how to do though.

Oh.. the worst news....the Primary Program hasn't been written. They "Saved It" for us. How nice. ;) It'll be okay... my sister is the her ward's primary chorister and she said that I can copy hers.

How exciting for you! haa haa I think I'd have to slit my wrists...or at least move if I got the primary president calling.

I don't know that I would say congratulations--president of anything is a lot of work. But I would say you should feel good that people (I guess I should say Heavenly Father) have confidence in your ability to be a good Pimary Pres. By the way--you do have very cute kids! Maybe that qualifies you. :)

Wahoo! Congratulation! Just what you like to here! :) That's a big calling, and they had to call a great person to fulfill it! I'm sure it is one of the hardest calling but it is rewarding! The little kids are so cute... and... rascally! Kevin and I are substitute teachers for the primary.. they're fun to be around. Have fun!
