Forgive me if this post doesn't make any sense. I'm going on about 2 1/2-3 hours of sleep. Here are some highlights of my day!
I got up at 2 am. and drove to Capitol Theater and stood in line for 7 hours in the freezing cold and got Wicked tickets!!!
I slept at my mom's house so that she could watch my kids.
I had quite a confrontation with line jumpers, but I took care of business and got them kicked out of line. (It only took about 1 1/2 hours, but they finally left.)

I had someone offer me double the price for my tickets as I was walking out. It was tempting... but I resisted!!
I have not been able to get warm ALL DAY!
I am quite a bit dumber for having gone through the experience. (I'm not sure if it's the cold or lack of sleep, but I am doing a LOT of dumb things. I can't think straight!!)
All in all.. it was quite the experience and I'd probably do it again in a heartbeat. In a year.

PS--When you've had some more sleep you need to write about getting the cheaters booted. That sounds interesting.

I thought you'd talk about how you had to kick that lady who pushed you. You should tell that story too.
Wow! Congrats! I've never gotten up that early to get tickets. I did stand in line for 6-7 hours to get a Roots beret during the Olympics. They gave out tickets so no one could be a line jumper. Way to go and get those line jumpers kicked out!
That sounds really miserable but I bet Wicked will be worth it! Don't you hate rude people?
You kicked a lady?! I am so jealous! I hope they open up more shows.
Just wanted to clarify I am jealous about the tickets not the kicking. Well, more jealous about the tickets than the kicking :)
I didn't do any PHYSICAL kicking despite what Becca says. I got a couple of rude ladies kicked out of LINE.
I promise the story isn't all that intersesting. But if you watch the news clip, you can see the guy who offered double for my tickets in the clip.
I hear that is supposed to be good!
