We Carved Pumpkins

And it went something like this. Just kidding.

My dad grew a ton of pumpkins in his yard this year, and he gave some to us. We carved them for FHE a few nights ago, but I didn't take any pictures. And it was kind of on purpose. I'm not sure why I didn't want to, but I didn't want to. I just couldn't manage it. It would have been a cute picture too!

Jacob and Brooklyn and I were sitting around the table. I was holding Nathan on my lap while happily carving the kids' pumpkins. We were all happy and smiling. Laughing at each other. It was a picture perfect family moment. Robert was there too.

Okay... so really, I was tired and didn't feel good. I was holding Nathan on my lap, but it was HARD carving pumpkins with a naughty punkin on my lap. When I thought of the camera, Robert was in the bathroom and by the time he got back, we were pretty much done. I could have gotten up but I knew Nathan would scream if I set him down. He was happy. I was tired. So I rebeled by not taking a picture.

I'll take one of them by their pumpkins today.

Why do guys always disappear into the bathroom when there is stuff to do?

You didn't have to carve all the pumpkins Dad sent home with you did you? Tell the kids you have to save some for Thanksgiving so you don't want to cut them all up.

You have a right to be tired! Besides, don't most pumpkins look the same year after year. Just insert last year's picture!
