11 years ago today, I woke up very, very early to curl my hair in a whole bunch of tiny ringlets. My mom and dad drove me to the Salt Lake Temple very early in the morning. After a few minutes, my handsome man came striding in, carrying his tux bag. A lot of that day is a blur. There are a few things that stand out in my mind about that day. The Celestial room. A short skirt an aunt was wearing. Kneeling across the altar. Exchanging rings. Smiling. Hugging. A little crying. The sealer getting mad at Robert. Oops. Going outside. Taking pictures. Lots and lots of pictures. Lots and lots of smiling. Lots and lots of kissing. The song playing on the radio leaving the temple. ("It's a nice day for a white wedding"). My new nieces and nephews at Grandma's house. Robert trying to get me alone. (Ahhh! NO WAY!) The wedding luncheon. Being "blessed" by Robert's aunt? My aunt and cousins trying to smile despite being sad. Very sad. Good friends and family all around. Leaving the luncheon. Blank. Blank. Blank. Arriving at the wedding reception a few hours later a little frazzled. It was HOT HOT HOT. Bad A/C! Lots and lots of people came through the TWO HOUR line. Hair melting. Melting. Melting. Eclairs!! Dancing. Fun. Leaving!!!! "Who the H put ketchup on our car!?!?" Washing the car. One of us starving. Taco Bell? Anniversary Inn. Blank. Blank. Blank. The movie Top Gun.......(weird huh).
I am so thankful to my wonderful husband who dated me for a whole two weeks and five days before asking me to marry him. I am SO glad that I knew that it was right and said "YES!" I'm so happy we have had 11 years together. They haven't always been easy, but I have always known that through thick or thin, we are stuck eternally together. And there is no one I'd rather be stuck to!

So I have to explain the dress. I loved it!! I always wanted a dress with a long train. Blame it on the Sound of Music. What I wish I had gotten rid of though, was the sleeves. It was July for heaven sakes. It was SO SO hot that day!

I think the temple looks like a castle in these picture.

All the wonderful people who came and supported us!

A short recap of our last 11 years.

1998- We got engaged after dating almost 3 weeks, and got married a few months later. I pretended like I didn't want kids for a long time, but really I was already hoping the obligatory year would go by fast.

1999-Rob is getting his Masters degree. I am wondering why I didn't get pregnant the first month of "trying" to have a baby.

2000-Finally after a year of "trying", success! We're pregnant! We also lived in New Mexico for a short time.

2002- Olympics. I finish my Bachelors degree. Finally. Rob starts law school. I go back to work for a short period of time.

2004- Law School. Law School. Law School. We live in Murray. I love it there. We want to live here forever!

2005- YES! Law school is over. Now maybe I can have another baby!

2006- Rob starts work at Nolte. Nathan is born!

2006- Rob starts work at Nolte. Nathan is born!

2007- We move into our house. Just livin' the dream.
2008- Life is great. Let's have a baby!!
2009- Sweet Chloe is born! And.... the year isn't over yet! What will it bring? (ominous music).
We can't wait to see what happens for the next 11 years of our life together! Unless it's bad. Because then we can totally wait.

Stacy! This is a great post. Love all the pictures! But it seemed like you were married longer than a year when you got pregnant. I'll have to go back and re-read I guess, I must have got mixed up.
