Best Sugar Cookies Ever!!

I found the BEST sugar cookie recipe! I have tried several recipes that haven't turned out to be my favorite. Here it is!!!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

1 1/2 cups butter, softened
2 3/4 cups of sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
5 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour (or overnight).

Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness on a flat surface, sprinkled with powderd sugar.

Bake 6-8 min at 400 degrees.

Glaze
2 cups confectioners sugar
3 Tbl Milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
food coloring

I made some of these cookies into a cookie bouquet for Robert. I am going to deliver them to his work tomorrow for valentines day.
